Teaching Assistantships

Starting Fall 2024, teaching assistants receive the following financial support for the academic year (10 months):

• Stipend: $20,685.60
• Scholarship: $1,000
• Student Health Insurance Program: Premiums covered (currently $2,200/year)
• Summer Scholarship: $5,000–$8,000
• Total Annual Support: At least $28,885.60

Additional Benefits

• Out-of-State Tuition Waiver: Full waiver of out-of-state tuition.
• Resident Tuition and Fees: All resident tuition and registration fees (currently $5,408/semester) are paid by the department.

The exact assistantship amount is determined by the state legislature.
